Tunnel vision

Been a couple of days since I updated / or went to CF. Lots going on at work and I couldn’t separate from it. I did get to a WOD after work today and nearly went down for the count. Maybe a combo of not sleeping at all last night and eating the company lunch today (not paleo :(…). After finishing the 3 rounds of front squats, ring dips, and pull ups, we did some planking for 180 seconds. I started seeing spots and when I got home had almost no peripheral vision. Maybe it was the CrossFit gods telling me to focus more. I will… Small steps. During my insomnia last night, I did manage to buy the new Reebok Crossfit Nanos. They are super sweet. I will throw up some picks when they come in the mail and let everyone know how well they improve my WOD’ing skills. The work front is in order and now I can get back to the normally scheduled programming of the Challenge.

we got wood

I won’t lie. I looked at today’s WOD and almost didn’t want to go to class. We had to do 5 sets of 10 burpee box jumps, 10 sumo high lifts, and 10 thrusters (with a 1 minute rest inbetween each set). Anyway, I sucked it up and hit Wood hard. wood was the name of the WOD. I did not come close to rx’ing the weight, but finished it in pretty good time; under 20 minutes. A few months ago, I would have been carted out on a stretcher before completing round 1.
And the challenge continues.
